Another night with the frogs…
That precious moment happens all too regularly when the need to visit the little room come upon us. Your pace quickens just a little as the urgency increases. “Thank you God that it’s vacant!” In you go. The door clicks locked behind you. Lift up the lid. And there it is. A frog in the water looking right back at you! Green tree frogs are cute, but at times they can be a little annoying!
Spare a thought for the Pharoah of Egypt when there was a plague of frogs. They were everywhere. In the streets. In the garden. In the kitchen. In the hallways. In the bedrooms. I’ll take a guess and suggest even in his undies drawer. Everywhere.
Then along comes Moses. “Hey Pharoah. Wanna get rid of the frogs? Just ask me, and I’ll chat with God for you and get it sorted.” Pharoah’s answer strikes me as strange. “Tomorrow,” he said. Why would you want to spend another night with the frogs?
Let’s face it. Moses did say he would pray to a God that Pharoah didn’t believe in. Just the same, if you had an absolutely overwhelming, seemingly impossible problem to solve, would you wait until some time in future? Or might you take the chance and ask someone to pray for you today?
Perhaps try this: email prayer@kariongchurch.org The least we can do is ask.
